Energy efficiency is a central issue for our society, making it a current priority for any project at any level.
Whether you are involved in planning new construction or renovating or consolidating an existing building, Planair offers you extensive expertise in energy-saving strategies, materials and technical performance, using various renewable energy sources, upgrading technical equipment, etc.
Our team allows you to assign just a single partner to undertake all feasibility studies, to design, plan, monitor and make final checks on all your energy and environmental components of the project you are in charge of, whether this is for:
1. The backward integration project for energy and environmental considerations [find out more]
Do you want to make a building comply with an eco-label? Planair takes charge of all the necessary technical and administrative steps to obtain a Minergie, Minergie-P, BBC [low-energy consumption building], or “positive energy home”, according to official regulations.
First, our engineers calculate the thermal performance of the project according to legal requirements (SIA 380/1, RT 2005, future RT 2012). Risks of overheating, leakage or condensation are anticipated by our experts in building physics with software such as IDA ICE 4.0 (dynamic thermal simulation), flixo or USAI. Opportunities for enhancing natural lighting are also simulated.
If necessary, we consider various options in the building envelope (insulation thickness, type of glazing, glazing rate according to guidelines) or the technical installations (ventilation or heat production solution). Our approach in total cost - investment & operating costs - of the various technical options makes it possible to estimate it at ± 25% using reference software.
Our engineers then prepare plans for HVAC installations, seek the most qualified contractors by consultation and invitation to tender, and follow the execution of the work.
Before embarking on the building finishings, an airtightness test makes it possible to detect any imperfection, liable to result in 10 to 20% heating overuse.
Once construction is complete, our experts ensure that its quality is strictly consistent with the label targeted !
2. HVAC infrastructure planning optimised in energy terms [find out more]
Are you looking for a comprehensive, consistent offer for HVAC infrastructure? Planair will put all its expertise into an optimal project in energy and environmental terms, according to a modular offer of all the SIA 108 services, from the feasibility study and project definition until receipt of the completed product and monitoring its energy.
In the full version, this package includes the design, our engineers’ project covering heating, refrigeration, ventilation, plumbing, electrical and lighting installations…, the tender documents and their analysis for adjudication.
Once the site opened, Planair will carry out the work until commissioning and acceptance of the building and its equipment in order to ensure the strict quality of the finished product on time and on budget.
3. Asbestos-related restoration [find out more]
Is a renovation project confronting you with an asbestos problem? Planair has asbestos diagnosis experts, trained and recognized by SUVA insurers. Asbestos, a multiple-use material, widely used in construction until the early 1990s, does not only have positive properties and the risks it poses to health require extreme caution when handling. With legal developments (OTConst, cantonal legislation), it is often necessary to identify the presence and location of asbestos in buildings prior to sale, conversion or demolition.
As part of the diagnosis, we perform a detailed inspection of your premises and assess the presence of asbestos in them on the basis of samples and/or visual inspections. After having the samples analysed by a specialized laboratory, we provide you with a comprehensive inventory of the location of the asbestos and how hazardous it is. Each material containing asbestos is identified by an individual record summarising any steps to take and the time involved. Upon request, we also offer planning and monitoring of remediation.
Example: Asbestos diagnosis of a HES-SO building in Le Locle. Complete diagnosis of the building completed before the conversion. The result of the analysis allowed the client to take into account the constraints and remediation costs in the proposed building conversion.
4. The full, concerted monitoring of a building site [find out more]
Whatever the project we develop together, Planair experts will follow their execution in full, until commissioning and acceptance, to strictly certify the quality. This service is a natural, consistent extension of all previous feasibility studies, design and planning phases, by our versatile team of engineers.
