Following the programme to launch “Quartiers Durables by Sméo” (“Sustainable Neighbourhoods by Sméo”) by the Federal Office of Energy (OFEN) and Territorial Development (ARE), Planair will be monitoring the development of two neighbourhoods using this new tool.

Developed on the basis of recommendation SIA 112/1, Quartiers Durables by SméO incorporates all the themes of sustainable development on all the of a neighbourhood’s life cycles and adapts its repository according to the phases of the project, its size and the type of intervention.

Planair was commissioned by the city of La Chaux-de-Fonds to study a wide area of 49,000 m2 located at the currently disused freight station and for the study in Corcelles/Cormondrèche of the future Arnières residential area which will provide approximately 120 homes (detached villas, terraced villas and group housing).
